We had Dovecote Mission do a three part dove release at my mom's funeral. Ken was so very respectful, professional, and inspiring during it all. His beautiful bird allowed us all to gently pet it before it was released and joined by the other birds used in the ceremony. They circled in a flock at least three times before heading home. I know my mother would have loved it. I highly recommend this service to anyone who loves animals. These birds would be good for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, and not just funerals. My sadness was lifted for these brief minutes and replaced with the reminder hope and knowledge that Mom was now "home" 🙏. Beautiful in every way.

It is obvious that Ken’s work is a true “labor of love.” I have been deeply moved by the sensitivity and generosity of spirit that he demonstrates as he serves his clients, whether they be loved ones grieving a loss or celebrating a marriage. Ken does an absolutely WONDERFUL job with our participants at our Day Center for the elderly. They always anticipate his visits & love gently touching the birds. His two dogs are very friendly, lovable, and great with all types of people. Ken educates us with stories about the birds or facts we would have never known. We had two separate dove releases at our October 21, 2017, wedding...one in memory of our son and then, later in the ceremony, my husband and I each released one at the same time in recognition of our union. Ken Haselrig is a class act in this business. His dove cart was charming and professional but not overdone and blended perfectly into our outdoor setting. Along with being approachable and friendly, his presence at our ceremony was completely unobtrusive and the transitions to and from the releases were seamless. When other companies refused us for being too far away or too late in the evening or too late in the season, Dovecote went out of its way to help us bring this unique and very sentimental element to our event. -- Angi

We all enjoyed the Dove Release at our Family Reunion in Honor all who had past on before us. We had a Dove for each family that lost a family member and the eldest of that family released the doves. My residents loved Ken, his doves and his presentation. Ken was very engaging and enthusiastic and the residents could not get enough! I heard things from residents like, "That was an extremely interesting program!" and "We want to have him back again!" I work in a memory care facility and our residents are extremely important to us so everything we do is for the moment. Our residents rarely remember what we did an hour ago. Ken was here at 2:00 pm and ... He was wonderful, absolutely wonderful. Around 5:30 pm ... a gentleman came in and began to thank me for the interesting program that we had earlier that day. He said it was one of the best programs that he ever sat through, and wanted to know if Ken was coming back. I assured him that Ken would be back. Our resident was a soldier who fought in Germany and served under General Dwight D. Eisenhower. Our resident retired as a Coronel. Ken told us the World War II story of the carrier pigeons. Our resident was elated to hear the story that he had been a part of. I thank you, Ken, for the wonderful program. AND ... I look to seeing you and your program when you come back next month.
